Quote from: Zigcat on January 24, 2016, 10:50:08 PMI have a couple of double delays and the sagan triple delay. I want to do this because it's there. :-D
A multiplex is essentially two delay pedals combined.
Quote from: Tdub on January 24, 2016, 10:12:40 AMAll mine are grouped together in separate bags and smaller bags within to contain the different values. My inventory system is when I run out or need a Value I don't t have, I order more. I usually have several builds at once going, so I never run out of things to build.
Ha! Exactly my feels.
I'm trying to figure out how to get a system that is easily accessible but also easily reconfigurable, and by that I mean if I get a 422k resistor, I want it to be easy to shuffle space around if I need to make room for a random value.
Also wondering if some sort of inventory system would be worthwhile or just cumbersome.
For the moment, I have all the resistors and capacitors contained in ascending order in two arch files with basketball card inserts, so there's a pocket and a little plastic bag for each value and that seems to be working reasonably well but parts like LEDs, transistors, diodes, and pots are just all over the place in a fabulously frustrating explosion of hardware.
Quote from: Gainzilla on January 21, 2016, 02:06:11 AMIn the grand scheme of things, I agree. There was a lot of really valuable information that was lost that will never be recovered, both for troubleshooting and general knowledge. The other stuff was probably noise, but for those that have been here for a while, funny or tragic moments and memories. Like I said, in the grand scheme of things l, it doesn't matter. I felt like I couldn't talk to my best friends, it is what it is. I'm glad to see you all again.
People talk about data loss like its some homogenous commodity, but the truth is, losing stuff we care about is really hard. Think about this... When is the last time you rummaged through your garbage. It was most likely because you were looking for your keys or some other really important document. That feeling of relief when you find them is priceless.
I'm really happy the forum is back up. It's confusing as hell though. I almost responded to an ancient thread. I wish we could just draw a line in the topic list and start fresh. Super bummed about all that we lost, though. And my post count... Fuuuuuuuuck... Baxter to destroying diodes? Weak sauce!
Also bummed about the build of the year. I entered knowing full-well I wouldn't win. After LeeVibe posted his work of perfection, I wondered if I'd made a massive newbie mistake. But I entered 1) for the fun of it, 2) as a historical mark of my progress. That's gone, and so is my accomplishment of winning the Mr. Irrelevant title. But whatever, I know I won and that's all that matters. lol
In all seriousness, it's so great that we're back! Sadly, this happens all the time. Let's get back to business, and before you know it, well barely even remember this happened.
Cheers!
