Is that just slapback delay? I like it.

No, volume loss isn't normal. If you put that 1m across the inout jack from tip to sleeve, that will work as a pulldown. My mudbunny doesn't pop either, may need to start a debugging thread, also does it happen on every amp with every guitar?

That looks fantastic!

Welcome! As for your question, you may need a little something between the dc jack and the enclosure, but I'm not sure which DC jack it is. Seems midwayfair had this issue one upon a time.

Sweet!!

Lay the components on the top and mark it. This works for me when there is no template. Just do the inputs / outputs  and DC jack last after you get the pots on and mounted in the enclosure. DIY baby!

Here is what Rej told me while I was building the Chimaera:
To make the Chimaera BFD Bass guitar friendly change C1 to 390nf

So just the inout cap. Sounds good to me.

It really depends on what you're looking for. I have a klon, a byoc bass  overdrive, a big bass overdrive a game of tones a bluesbreaker, a greenbean, maybe others. they all give me different sounds. I say build them all.

Victory!!! I removed the wah trimmer and 22k resistor, removed r6 470r and replaced it with a 1k trimmer, tuned out the rest of the oscillation. It's now a very usable wah.
