Bought, they're even cheaper now.

Dang!  I think I paid like $5.49 for mine lol.   Just be careful not to stab yourself...they are sharp!
I'm always careful, just ask my soldering iron. Damn near set a chair on fire over the weekend....being careful.... ;D

Hi Droogie... suprised nobody chimed in yet.  I suppose, it is like ice cream; everybody has their own favorites.  A $60 pair is probably a really nice pair but I have great luck with my $3.66 set (of two!)

I have a pair of these from Amazon and they work great for me.  $3.66 with free shipping (over $25 or Prime Membership).  I prefer the bent nose ones mostly, but they do the job just fine for the limited SMD work I do.  Very sharp, and the allignment is awesome.  Haven't felt the need to upgrade (yet!)  I use them for SMD as well as sometimes tucking wires in and out of tight places.

Exellent.  Now you have no excuse why you can't nail all his solos from his Talas days......
Yep, that was the whole problem right there. I DO have 10 fingers on each hand... ;D

So about a year and a half ago I built a paramix. meh....I have been thinking about the Billy Sheehan overdrive pedal. I really like it and I really like his sound.  There has been talk over on DIYSB about getting that same type of effect and someone mentions the paramix, I'm thinking it's just a blender not a mixer. Today I hooked my up and damn if it's exactly what it says it is, a mixer. I can control the levels of both dry bass and distorted bass, not just one or the other, NOW I GET IT!!! It'a like I have a new toy again without having to build it or buy.

Hi,

My name's Sam. Apparently, I haven't posted anything either, despite having lurked for a while now.
Some of you may have come across me before over yonder at DIYSB.
Hi Sam. How is DIYSB? I've popped by via google searches in the past but haven't joined. Is it worth checking out?
Very intelligent people over there. They are, however quick to jump on you if you don't watch yourself.that is to say you need to resiat the urge to flame over there, it happens quickly.
Good to know. Maybe I'll just remain a lurker. Plus the people here are much nicer and extremely intelligent. **best forum I've been a part of**
I'm not saying don't, I post over there, just be art about it is all I'm saying. :-D

This happened to me on a tube screamer. Turns out I had a broken resistor that would separate and fizz out when it warmed up. It took forever to find because it wasn't apparent when I opened it because it had settled back down.
That's pretty rare but certainly possible!  Thanks for sharing, Jimi.
You know me, I'm nothing if not helpful. Broken a few resistors, carbons, happens when I reflow.
