So I was looking at a Bugera V5 but I'm finding mixed reviews. My brother has a 22 that I like but I don't want to spend that much. What's a good amp for 199 or less? Tubed is good and I really like the fender sound, been listening to blues lately.

Honestly, for bass, it depends on your guitar and the pickups and the amp. I've built an afterlife, byoc opticomp, rotten comp, pick droppers Ross 5knob comp, an engineers thumb, a bear hug and maybe a few others. My current comp of choice is a soul preacher from EHX. It's tight with a knee switch. Cleans up nice. I use dimarzio split p pups in one a couple of p basses and sd quarter pounders in a jazz bass through a hartke 3500 with a 4x10 and a 15. I ran an afterlife through a peavey tnt115 and it sounded fine in my music room. It really depends on your set up.

okay....so here's a picture of my inductor...i marked the two leads that have continuity together with a red marker, the other two don't have continuity....which way should this be positioned on the pcb? Or is my inductor shot?

No continuity should have been soldered to circuit, continuity solder to the bottom 2 holes if you haven't figured it out by now in case the inductor is good.

No, i tried that inductor every way.....it's done for but i bought from from joe on the buy/sell thread on here and it's awesome

These are tight little builds, the fuzz is simple and clean and the O.D. Is not terrible distorted and sounds great with a Jazz Bass

Also I confirmed with Rej on his klon, if you're running buffered out you have to have the stomp connected, BUT If your voltages aren't right, still a bridge somewhere. Does the IC still get hot? Etched boards can be tricky sometimes.

Keep at it. Did you look at the layout to make sure everything that is still bridges is supposed to be bridged?
