Very cool!  What's the bat logo on the 12th fret?  Is that a short scale or is it normal for basses to only have 20 frets?
3/4" I believe, never noticed really while I was building it. I suppose I could put a neck with 22 frets on there, but we never play that high anyway, I mean we're bassists what the hell are we gonna do up there???

Jimi, that's just plain awesome! You almost convinced me to switch to bass, almost..........  ;)

Great looking build man, the pickguard does it for me, nice!

Paul
Switch? Either you're born a bassists or you're not, like being Jewish.
I was wondering about the pick guard, wasn't sure if I liked it, so thank you.

Thanks!

That huge washer on the Fuzz is the result of me not being used to a step drill bit.
We've all been there, some of us live there!

Sounds like a solder bridge just right off.  Have you checked the data sheets yet?

Did it set on a level surface. This stuff will let you know if it's level or not for sure.

The 1776 seem to be pretty popular. Any one use them in the 1590A enclosures?
Too big for that. In the osh park thread, there is a mini 3pdt board. I use those too, work great for 1590a. I use the 1776 boards for multi builds.

Those are great looking builds. And good on you for building for friends, I really enjoy doing that now. My guitar player can make them sound way better than I can for sure.

I think if any of us built this pedal we'd spend hours trying to trouble shoot that obnoxious oscillating, whining noise out of it.

I built a fuzz factory for my guitar player, and when it it started oscillating, i went to youtube, yep, sounds about right. Don't know
A) why the hell anybody would want that and
B) Why the hell I bought a board to build one for myself.

Hey Jimi, it looks complex.   i never used one  ... any sound clip in the future?
cheers
Yes, i ordered some inductors from Joe Gagan, as I was not happy with the one that I used, i now know why it doesn't sound good. I did a sound clip from the MoWah I built last week in the meantime though, it is in the Show off thread as well. I like wah builds, you don't have to fancy up the enclosure, and it only takes a few hours from start to finish.

Man, that 1590a is tight, I'm taking that hardware layout!

Mine aren't all spotless, but I have several I am proud of. What i do is populate the board, drill the box wire the pots to make sure the wire isn't going to be too long / short. Use longer in / out / +9 / ground wire than you're gonna need. Rocking and then box it using either heat shrink or electrical tape to keep the wire from getting out of hand. With the D'lat build, however, it just got out of hand quickly. The other thing I use is stomp boards, helps tremendously.
