I got my Weller soldiering station from a place like this. It was from an army base that closed down. They had a pallet of WESD51 and I snagged one for $45.00. Its over 5 years old and I still use it to this day.

If the build quality is remotely decent I would not mind to pick one up and just swap out the electronics. I may try them out later this month.

I got a virus report trying to open that site :o

I have Google Chrome disable all scripts on site by default so It must be a JAVA script executing that might look suspicious. No problems here on my Mac.

I wonder if the necks are just as soft and flex like the Guitar Fetish copies (Xaviere). I had the Jazzmaster copy for awhile and the neck was so soft that it was hard to keep in tune and the tremolo was useless.  I would be interested in a Gibson goldtop copy.. I can care less if its "real" or not.

I started using "Page Monitor" for Google Chrome and it notified me when the page content changed. But I felt like I was still checking it all day. lol

I'm convinced Tayda has someone watching me, and as soon as they see me put an order through, they release the discount code.

I wonder if a tin foil hat would help......

I need to wear mine so you can't read my mind since I was thinking the same thing.

Questions came to mind. What thickness of PCB are you using? Is it laminated? Are you using the guide on the saw to get a straight cut or having to do it by hand?

I just noticed a thread where you etch face plates. I want to try that also, so I got the saw to be able to make perfectly straight cuts.

Awesome. I'm just starting out trying it also. I'm using .30 so I cut it with scissors but I am really interested in trying your method. I just need to see if I have the room for another device around my bench.

For a new comer like myself to not have to start from scratch is invaluable... I am so appreciative for all the collected information on this forum and for Brian's help. Thanks everyone and Brian.

Those knobs look great on there. I would slay a hundred dragons with that pedal.
