i drill holes, apply label, cut out label holes, tape holes from the inside, pour tex, redrill when cured. never had a single label lift.

yeah, for most of europe mouser is still a pita due to shipping cost.

i had the as93 in violin burst... it was a stellar guitar with impeccable workmanship and i'm kicking myself to this day for letting it go... don't even remember what i used the money for anymore.

supposedly, in the States. in Europe, its gonna be 280 eur come April. whether Thomann (and others) decide to tone it down a bit when it finally comes out remains to be seen.

if my wife were a centipede, she'd still have enough shoes to last her way beyond the lifespan of the human race

So, Luke...
You make it sound like it's a problem of some sort?

Very true. I'm having the pedal brought over tonight so I'll snap a few pics.

Open Discussion / Van De Graff OD
December 18, 2014, 12:06:50 AM

Hello folks!

I was asked to take a look at a broken "Van De Graff OD" pedal which is supposedly a TS clone with some mods. I can't find any reference to it online and the worst part is that I vaguely remember seeing it someplace a few years ago.

I don't have the pedal yet but I'm 95% sure it's gonna be an etch job so a schematic would come in handy, if anyone is aware of one.

wow, thats a great story!
you've obviously done the guy a huge favor by being yourself at a certain point in time. hes not trying to repay you for what you did at that point, but for your lifetime that put you in his path at the very moment of need. whether it was god or a random string of events it really doesnt matter and is a matter of personal interpretation. i dont think you should belittle the event or the outcome by refusing to accept such a sincere gift. the fact that its a guitar just means that he really put a lot of thought into it and you should acknowledge it for what it is and not for what you think your part in the process was. god and entropy work in mysterious ways so just do your bit and accept the guitar to finish the circle.
my two bits fwiw, anyways...

I don't even read codes anymore. DMM every single resistor I solder, keeps stupid 2AM mistakes to a minimum (at least the resistor based ones  ;D ).

I'm not drinking the FB Koolaid so I can't see anything but I'll have my wife open it up for me. Maybe there's a regular email contact someplace.  ;D

I'm not really looking for a cheap guitar per se, I'm looking more for a bang-for-a-buck kinda thing. But I do get what you mean, with big names using his axes, he's bound to be expensive.

Those come with headphone output, I hope?

Otherwise I don't see you coming around all that often in the near future... typing kinda sucks with broken fingers... 8)
