So im  thinking of dropping a set of Dragonfire DG actives in a strat. Problem is the battery, its not routed for a battery box. I was going to throw the battery under the hood, but it becomes a pain to change. Has anybody ever drilled and mounted a DC jack ? I was thinking I could drill from the edge of the body right into the output jack cavity and sew a battery pouch on my strap. Still kicking ideas around

Anybody build a Kraken for bass yet? What if any mods ? Friend at work wants something different and I thought this would fill the bill. I didn't want to get into anything big like Stage Fright, if I was going to build that, it would be for me. Something quick and easy to get back to my projects

Ok, so im building another guitar. As im looking over all the goodies I started to look at pickups for this strat. I have the choice of getting the mid pickup reverse wound or not. The question I have is if I put in a polarity switch for that pickup, would it be the best of both worlds? I wanted to build this thing to focus on some Gilmour style. The argument goes on if he used reverse wound or not

I recently bought a POS Esquire Strat as a project guitar. I stripped this thing down to a neck and body. Went to

So out of all of you fuzz freaks and Benderheads whats the best bender pcb out there? Im looking for that growly farty Jimmy page sound with miles of sustain like the old MkII's
I built the Pasty Face but i did the Soul Bender build. Wondering if i should of gone Sola instead.

A friend of mine broke his Super Chorus and gave it to me to fix.
He said it was working fine till he plugged in the 9v jack.
First place i should look is the cap at the 9v right ?
How would a bad cap read ?

I went to the GK factory today, seen some really cool stuff. Really nice, friendly folks over there. Treated me like a king didnt matter if i spent $5500 or $100. Very nice visit. I told the guy about our forum and builds, told him about the cricket that Jimi and I are trying to build. He took me over and showed me the guts of a 2001RB (scary stuff) and i told him to watch out, after i get this 1 watter up and running im coming for him. Hats of to GK !

I just got my first solder station and all i can say is WOW. I dont know how i was soldering before.
I got the CSI 1A for $29.95 between that and starting to use additional flux, its like magic. Faster, cleaner, and the thing is at full heat in 15 sec.
i would deffinatly recomend this to any pedal junkie.

spoke with the owner of CSI reguarding power supplys, he told me he puts all products through a series of tests before stocking. Imagine that, a store with standards.

one 3pdt controling 2 pcbs. do i need something on the "IN" side of each board to prevent interfierence between the boards ?
