I built an afterlife comp, and when I wired it all up to test it, I noticed the LED is always on, even in bypass. Furthermore, I get no signal when I hit the switch. I tested the signal, and it looks like there's nothing going into input, even from the switch. The bottom left lug is input, right? What's the probability of a bad switch?

Oh man, yours are awesome! I wish I still had the cab for mine, but I had to get rid of it. Do you think a master volume is worth it?

I live in an apartment now, so I haven't played the Bassman in quite some time :( The clean tones were amazing though.

'67 drip edge AB165 Bassman that I modded to hybrid AA864 specs. Installed new electrolytics a couple years back.

The kicker? I bought it for 200 bucks! The only thing wrong with it is it had a blown fuse and the jewel light was out.

The cleanliness of your builds actually makes me a little sick >.<

I'm super jealous. Great build!

Audio/Video Demos / Another Cosmo vid
April 29, 2014, 06:25:36 PM
Seriously, I love this pedal. Cosmo with an AC127 in it (had a 2N1304 in it before, swapped it out just to see).
this was more of a recording test, as I recently got a mic/mixer/interface.

General Questions / PCB mounted switch?
April 28, 2014, 02:38:24 PM
So I am going to build a Fatpants, but want the body and soft switches to be internal (Not external switches). Any suggestions on the best parts for this? Thanks!

OBAMACARE FORCES PEDAL BUILDERS TO BOARD MOUNT POTS

What if I can't log into the website?
We appreciate your patience as the Board Mount Exchange undergoes renovation. We assure you we have the most qualified people addressing the issues that have been identified. That being said, an alternative is the VERO program, located at https://www.ohmygodihavetosolderhowmuch.com/thisisgoingtotakeforever/italllookssougly.aspx.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to your enrollment in the Board Mount Program (BMP) in the near future!

Blues Junior has Reverb, and it's the amp I play with most often :)

AHHHH do I get a Kingslayer or a Sunking!?

So my signal chain goes like this:

Crybaby
Analogman KoT clone
Cosmopolitan
Sea Urchin
Amp

Gear: 2 strats, one with humbuckers, one with single coils, a Blues Junior, and a '67 Bassman.

I kind of want to get an EP Booster, as I've heard they do amazing things to the strat tone, but I feel like 3 OD/Boost/Dist pedals is a bit overkill.

Tried a compressor, not really feeling it.

Modulation? Hmm. I do have a phaser, but can't see myself using it much...

Opinions welcome!

The compromise I sometimes make if I really don't like the knob layout is to board mount one pot and then wire up the rest, that way it still holds the board in place.

SUCH A GENIUS IDEA!!!!!
