My son is 13 now, so any interest in anything else then video games is a miracle!
But in the good old days.....I started him with little Vellman kits (Got them at 50% off at a RadioShack)
Anything with LEDs will captivate them. Flashers, chasers. LEDs = Instant gratification!
Another thing with younger ones. They have good eyes, give them 3 resistors and ask for the Red,Red,Yellow one.
Takes for ever to build something.....but good times.

Yes this is very annoying. I've ordered specific photocells from them for some projects. But they sent them in unidentified bags! do you know how hard it is to sort photocells!
Next time I will insist they label at least these kinda parts. Hopefully they will.

I'm in a clean-up slump, kinda!
Decided to clean up the workshop

I'm at the last stages ..... you know that box of a gazillion little things you don't have place for, you don't really need but you can't get yourself to trash that crap because you know that as soon as you do you will need it in 2 weeks!
So I spend my evening agonizing over this crap!

Glad to see I'm not the only one in this situation.
This is not the first time or forum I've ask for this guidance, but like Leevibe said........Crickets.
And these crickets get everywhere, they even show up in my conversations with my wife when she asks "So......how is this new oscilloscope making your pedals better?!"
My answer ....... Crickets
