Has anyone bought or played with the Pandora gaming consoles? The ones that come pre-built with the joysticks, buttons, etc? I am on the fence to get one and was wondering if anyone has any feedback on them. One issue I have seen quite a few times is that the gameplay is a LOT faster with these machines than in the arcade.

Models and places of purchase recommendations are quite welcome as well

Clicked to be notified about a product and when it is restocked. Received an email saying the product was back in stock (Last Friday)

Went to buy some AND..... Out of Stock 

Was the email a dud, did someone buy them all out, OR... did they only get like 5 pieces in??

Has anyone used White vinegar and table salt mixtures to clean oxidized traces on PCBs? I have some old PCBs that don't want to clean up with good 'ole soap and scotch brite pads.

Anyone else have a proven alternate idea?

Yes.. I know about smallbear for the BBDs. And, I know about Futurlec however, I want to get the LDRs earlier than 3-4 months! Hoping for some good eBay possibilities.

I came across a small stash of Reticon ICs and I am not sure if they are used in EHX pedals or not. The part number is:

RF5611ANP-011

I know the RF5609s are used in the 16-second delay but, I am not sure if these are as well OR in another platform. I know I kept them around for a reason but, that reason escapes me for now

Yet another "interesting" experience with FedEx....

Its not like I choose to use them. The products that I purchased only offered delivery through FedEx 

Ordered the items on Monday. Products arrived at the local warehouse (35 miles away) on Wednesday morning. Apparently, they are going to hold them in the warehouse until Monday morning!!?? This is NOT a scheduled delivery set up by myself.

Why do they not deliver before the "delivery date?" Who set this delivery date? Wasn't me!!

Looking to build a 'compact' Meatball pedal. Want something small-ish (1590BBTall, 1790, etc.) Doesn't need expression jacks. Just In, Out, Send, and Return.

Does anyone else use Lawrence's DPDT Momentary switches? (PCB mount)

I have had 5 of these switches fail on me  (Before you ask... yes, I will contact Lawrence and tell him) I am just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Seems they all fail in the same manner. They start acting like latching switches instead of momentary. Weird.

Just as I got going to play some PS4 with my son, I got the dreaded SU-60827 code (Unable to read the drive) I tried to refresh the entire software package with a thumb drive (all 1G of it) and now, the system won't even boot to safe mode 

I think the HD is gone. While it is on, I hear this awful "clicking" coming from the drive and then it reboots 2 times and says it cannot boot because it cannot read the drive.

Anyone got an extra or spare 500GB or 1TB drive on the cheap OR possibly know any quick fixes??

My son would be greatly appreciative (as would his soon to be bald Dad)

Always used what I had on hand or could find in the wild but, I want to get the best bang for my buck here. Advice???

Soliciting advice.

I am currently soldering up some etched PCBs and I am having one hell of a time getting the solder to stick to the copper pads. I did an initial cleaning of the boards before starting and everything flowed good. My problem is that I took a break between soldering on these boards and I think a film or some sort of oxidation has happened and it is impeding the solder flow.

What do you folks do to clean partially populated PCBs to accept new solder?

Was attempting to buy some headphones for my daughter. When I initially bid on the item, with 30 minutes left, the price was at $17+shipping.

I placed a max bid of $41.50 and the price was pushed to $17.50 and I was the highest bidder. I watched the clock count down and the auction ended.

Once the screen refreshed, it showed me as the winning bidder BUT..... the selling price was $41.50 + shipping 

I looked at the bidding history and, with 2 seconds left on the auction someone just happen to submit 1, single bid that happened to be $0.01 below my max bid! 

Has anyone else seen this before? Not 1 or many incremental bids but, a single bid which just happened to be one penny below my max bid.

Looked at that bidders history and their previous 25 bid histories have only been a single bid in each.

Am I crazy or does something smell fishy here?? It looks to me like someone uses data mining to push bids up by knowing max bids. It just seems that the likelyhood of this being a coincidence is slim and none.

Looking at etching a faceplate for a project (going into standard Hammond enclosure) that will be using 9mm pots.

If the faceplate is made from standard thickness PCB material, will there be enough threading on the 9mm pots to get the nut tightened down?

Does anyone have one OR have diagrams for the EMG ES-918 active pickup external battery box? I would love to build one of these  It seems like it should be simple but...
