Interesting way to organize the text.

Jacob

Was poking around on Google and found an image of a T-shirt that somebody did with a very similar arrangement.  Wanted to keep it simple and that seemed an easy way to fill a big white box.

Finished this up a while back.  Would have posted it sooner but once I found the sweet spot I just couldn't pull it off the board.  Provides a real clean boost and just a touch of dirt with my Nocaster style Tele and Danelectro 59 U2 but can get mean and nasty with my Strat of Epi Les Paul.

Box shot - painted inside and out with Valspar spray bomb white lacquer which shows signs of self relic-ing:

Very nice.

Hang as long as you can - any day now she's going to show up with an engagement ring.

Oh, that is nice!

I've only got five Muffs (Ram's Head, Violet Ram's Head, Triangle - all on GuitarPCB Muff'n boards; Green Russian - Mudbunny; Creamy Dreamer - aion Halo) built and one in the works (JMK Scuba Muff) - looks like I need to do another.

:o :o

Them's some chunky caps!
You know, the hardest part of this pedal building thing seems to be consistently ordering the right stuff.  Except for those monster 1uf caps everything else in the bag was as expected - just left the legs a little long and carefully folded them over.  Got lucky for a change.

This is an aion (http://aionelectronics.com) Halo built to the Creamy Dreamer specs with an on-board mid-range control.  Was working on another build today that ended up in the fix it someday box and realized I had this one almost done so I finished up the works.  The lack of graphics is due to the unexpected finish.

Pretty much followed the instructions for a change except that I used 1N60P which I have a butt load of for the 1N914s called for.  Here's the gut shot:

Bigger guts:

I use it with guitars.  The trannies are BC549Cs.

Just hit me I didn't post a gut shot - doh!

The original FoxxTone Machine used a very similar layout.  I opted not to attempt the flocked coating of the  originals.

Another MadBean build that I did quite a while ago.  Looked like this for a long time - got to love the sophisticated graphics!

When I labeled the Wolfshirt I did this one as well.  Looks like this now:

Built this one quite a while ago but didn't think to share it;

It stayed on my board unlabeled for a long time while I was trying to figure out something cool to name it.  Finally gave up and just called it what it is.

The layout looks cooler than it really is - it's actually kind of annoying.

Here's my Mudbunny Green Russian:

The box is from Mouser and came powder coated.  I didn't notice until I had the decals on, clear coated and fired it up for the first time that the pots were in a different location from the GuitarPCB Muff'n - I usually keep the tone maxed and could not figure out why turning down the sustain had absolutely no effect on the distortion.  I'll fix it some day.

Mad Bean Mudbunny - if you can't figure out the variant let me know. Straight build except for subbing BC549Cs for the 2N5088s to maybe get a bit more 'vintage' tone - it sounds like a Muff but slightly different from the Rams Head and Violet Rams Head variants I've built.  Box is powder coated from Mouser.  I've got new decals drying now to correct the mislabeled controls - my other Muffs have been Guitar PCB and even though the holes align the controls are in different locations.

Here's the box:

Love the name.

Beautiful build.

Where did you get the box?

Ch1naski  - Yes.  Given the other ruckus this box raises it's a little hard for my abused ears to pick up much difference with the LEDs but it's there.

The Hipster and Zero Point Micro are actually my third and fourth MadBean builds with the first two being an Afterlife (just a little silver box with two knobs) and a Wolfshirt - using the octave switch on the Wolfshirt upstream of the Zero Point is absolutely wicked!

This is by far the most dangerous effects box I've assembled - diddle with this one a bit and you might start to believe you can actually play!  Got the pre-painted box off ebay (art by Justin Landers, www.totheneck.com) - seems almost a shame to poke all those holes in it.  The box contains a MadBean Hipster, a Ram's Head variant of a GuitarPCB Muff'n with high/low pass filters and selectable clipping, and a MadBean Zero Point Micro all tied together with Guitar PCB 3PDT boards.

Here's the required gut shot:
