A friend "borrowed" my Serendipity a couple of months ago, so I decided to build him his own.  I screwed up the clear coat initially, so I started to sand it down.  In the middle of sanding it, I got the idea to put it back in the oven and re-flow the powder for kind of a relic look.  I think it turned out pretty good, but I'm kinda hoping he doesn't like it  ;)

Powder is Copper Black Magic with Everclear clear coat from Powder365.

Sorry for the lack of gut shots.  JRC 4558, and BAT41 diodes.

I really like this.  It doesn't look random wear, which I think works better with this one.

Thanks guys :)

My wife didn't like that the wear doesn't look "realistic" but I really dug how it turned out.  One of those happy accidents, I guess.

Whoa, that's a really neat effect. Especially that the "wear" is only around the edges.

Realistic? Nah I think its cool too, looks like the finish is melting off

Looks bloody great mate, different is good. People pay more for relic guitars, so that pedal is probably now worth twice what it was in pristine condition ;D Matt.

yeah, nice job turning an error into a bonus, looks great. I would keep that one for sure!
