Hello guys,
I finally populated another Cave Dweller board with components I gathered from my stock.
I would like to thank GTR2, MIDWAYFAIR, JKOKURA... for their help even if I couldn't solve the problem (http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=6183).
I desoldered all components but the board is now damaged.
By the way, here's a new Cave Dweller.
It works the first time.
I add the 15k resistor on the Dweller pot to move the oscillations at the end of the pot sweep.
I have some noise at the highest time settings but it is very usable.
The slap back settings are really great.

BUT I built it for a friend so now I have to build another one for myself !!!

Here are the pics:

Hey, nice! Well, at least you have one to compare to. :)

Sorry they one for you didn't pan out. :(

Happy to hear you have one up and running!  :)

Thanks guys !!!
As I said, this one is for a friend but my next components order will include parts to build another one for myself for sure.

Thank you again for your help.

The cave dweller looks great!
I have a quick question, I noticed that the baby boards recommends using 1/8w resistors
and I was wondering if you could use 1/4w instead? (from your pics it looks like you used 1/4)

The lead spacing of the baby boards is for 1/8W.
Of course you can use 1/4W resistors but they will be standing as in my build.

I'm a total newbie so I wanted to know if the resistor wattage would affect the build in any way.
Thanks for the answer!

Sorry I have not seen your post !
I only use 1/4W resistors so I never made any comparison.
But I think the wattage doesn't really affect the sound but the type of resistors (metal film, carbon comp...) could.
Here's my beginning of answer.
Hope I'm right... Hope it'll help too  ;)

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.
