Hi guys, I need help..

I am searching for a source for the best quality 3pdt switches in Europe..

I'd settle for a bang-for-buck source, as well as dirt-cheap source.... :)
Waiting for parts is becoming a nuisance but far east prices are hard to beat.

Switches I got from Banzai are hardly better than from the chinese source I bought from a while back. Whether that means that Banzai 3pdts suck or that chinese guy's are decent, I can't say.

To be honest, I've given up on 3PDT switches. The Alpha 3PDT is pretty nice, a bit stiff as most 3PDT switches, but nice, and far better than the usual blue switch from the far east, but I did not find a source for it in Europe, and although PPP sells it for a fair price the cost of shipping overseas is bit off-putting. Still, if you want a good 3PDT, that would be my recommendation.

So what's your current switching setup?

I just started to use the opto-tron, as it is much easier to find a good DPDT than a 3PDT of equal quality. Josh's boards are top quality, really convenient, and the optocouplers are not that expensive when you buy 10+ of them.

Also, I'm working on making my own small footprint, soft-touch 3PDT switches to use in my 1590A builds, they still need a bit of testing but I'm nearly done.

Well I'd sure like to try that setup out, once you iron out the wrinkles?

Sure, I'll share the results as soon as it proves effective and reliable :) Hopefully I'll be able to post a build reports featuring that kind of switch around next week.

brejna - I've got some really good ones for £2.50 each as I ordered them in bulk if you want a couple to try. Never had any problems with them and 0% failure rate on them so far.

croquet hoop - you have my full attention! Can't wait to see them!

Thanks everyone for response, at moment I starting to loose nerves with these switches. Pedals that I've made year ago or so all have issues with switch.
@Stevie-where can I get those?

I'm of the same opinion as Mr Hoop. We just can't get decent 3PDTs easily here and the optotrons just work perfectly.

Thanks for the proposal, I've seen lot of your builds with optotrons. I will have to try them. :-D
