Anyone have some recommendations for this? I'm going to put an Egghead in a big box with some other fx and would like to add a switch to change the diodes from the stock 1N914's to something else for some extra tonal variety. Thanks in advance!!

On-off-on switch. (Red diffused) LEDs always on, shorted by the switch with 1N914s on one side and 1N34As/2N7000s (a la Zen) on the other side.

I know where you're going, but I'm not sure how to wire this up..... I'll draw something up this weekend, get back to you when I do. Thanks dude!

Meanwhile here's the general idea http://www.muzique.com/news/images/led8.gif you can adapt for use in the feedback loop.

Edit: Also have a look at http://www.beavisaudio.com/Projects/FKR/MightierMouse.gif (you don't really need a DPDT, SPDT is enough).
