Found this while looking for the Boss CS-3 schem...looks good according to the specs and I think Kempf is the Russian behind AMT electronics?

He posted it on DIYSB a while back, too. The rectifier/gain reduction circuit should be really, really smooth.

My only significant complaint about the design is that he used a lot of Mu Amps in the dry path, both as pre- and make-up gain, and this is going to create a HUGE loss of treble (a single mu amp gets dark above ~1Khz, so three is a pretty severe cut), which he doesn't make an effort to correct otherwise. He also uses extra fets for gain in the envelope section, which is a needless expense, especially when you've already got a quad. Basically, this is a LOT of parts to achieve this effect, enough that you might want to ask yourself if you'd rather build an 1176.
