What's better than a Kingslayer? Two Kingslayers in one box! I was looking into how one would go about making a "dual channel" Kingslayer (two different gain settings) when I realized I would need different tone and volume controls as well. Hence the Dopplekönigmörder (congrats to Germany—although my in-laws are all Argentine and I hoped for a different outcome yesterday).

The "clean channel" is built stock  (except 1k8 in R20, like KS1) with 1n914s as the as the second hard clipping option and jumpered Fat switch; wired buffered.
The "overdrive channel" has the soft clipping mode from the KS1 added back in (the 1n914s on vero) with mosfet clipping as the second hard clipping option (the other vero); wired true bypass. The soft clipping and mosfets yield my favorite overdrive of any of the three KSs I've built so far—really fat with a tele.

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.
