Had a request to build a Ring Stinger clone for a guy in the US
Knocked this together :)
Its the 1.2 String Ringer board, with a mod on the input to cut bleed in bypass.
Sounds killer! direct comparison to my vintage unit, this has a *tad* more range to the upper VCO frequency
and the germanium octave distortion side has a bit more gain and edge to it.
The reason might be is that I used some really cool CV7130 diodes from May 1966
The forward voltage (happy coincidence its in spec for 1n34a, the recommended part) is extremely consistent on these which made matching four of them really easy. Plus they look awesome!

That's spectacular. Clean, beautiful and professional. Just perfect.

great looking build but why are the components all facing down?

With board mounted rotaries and pots, on a single sided etched board, that's how you have to mount it. (Soldering 3P4T rotaries on the component side is not possible, unlike the pots.)

thanks!

Ive done a bunch of Lovetone clones now. The first one is really daunting but this one went together very easily.

Very, very, very NICE! 8)

Still have to finish my Dopple Ganger, but those full scale layout look more appealing to me.

Well, it's not in a 1590a, but it's still a wicked cool build...! ;D
