It Lives!! Behold Terminus!! It's end of the line for your pedalboard chain! Buffer, EQ, Cab Sim, Master Volume and a Balanced Direct Out!

It started with this question here:

And it built up from there....  I finished the box this week, and spent about 5 hours soldering the boards in today.  Like the Random Stranger, it started out neat...

It has:

As soon as I can find the tayda knobs I purchased ages ago, I'll stick them on and upload a completely finished pic...

Oh man, I gotta build this.
I don't need it at all but I just gotta...

QuoteThat's a great idea - and well executed, too.

Thanks.  Basically I play through a powered wedge, so I needed something to control the volume from the pedalboard.  Dunno about the well executed bit, but it's about as good as I can do on vero with my attention span.  I'll probably go back and tidy it up somehow later...

I probably could have gotten a ZoomGX3 (and probably still will for another pedalboard) and got the same (more) functionality, but I like that it's basically an amp front end in a box.  Easy to adjust.

Lol, good luck, post your results when done.  I wonder if I can get Brian to do a PCB...

Great concept and fantastic build! That represents a ton of work. I love the name and artwork too!

Here we go, the knobs arrived today. I also cleaned up the guts while waiting for them to arrive.  The vero doesn't always stick to the double sided foam tape (expensive 3m stuff!) so it got a dose of hot glue to stick the vero to the tape.

Another update.  This had a few intermittent problems with a few cold solders after a while so I took the opportunity to do some stuff that was bugging me, mainly the eq/boost section.

I've replaced the eq/boost with a marshall tonestack and LPB1 on the same piece of vero, layout courtesy of Tagboard.  I'd cannabalised the original white knobs for Deadringer, so I put some black ones on that I had lying around.  The boost isn't as loud as the Gus's PNP boost, but the eq is far more usable than whatever I had in it.
