Hello,
I finished my second vero build, it's the Catalinbread Formula n°5 with the layout from Tagboard effects, including the "more mode" modification.  I put the "more mode" on a footswitch for ease of use  :)  I made one for myself and one for a friend.
It's also the first time that i use my Test board and it proved to be useful the very first time.  Unboxed everything seemed fine, then boxed nothing happended with the more mode.  It took me a couple of hours to debug the pedal instead of the usual three or five days without sleep ;D

I am very happy with this build even if my wiring is still terrible and some dust was catched between to layers of clear coat.
As sound goes, i would say it sounds 80% like the original.  The main differences are :
- less gain in the Buffalo (except on the rage setting where the gain can be higher than on the catalinbread);
- the buffalo cuts some of the highs and not the catalinbread;
- the sound of the buffalo is more defined than the Catalinbread but also a bit more "flat".

For my taste it sounds very good and the Rage mode can go to almost fuzz when gain is maxed up.  As i own the "real thing" the differences add just some other taste.

Very nice, well done! Dust is annoying, covering with plastic box usually keeps it off, but even then some can get through.
...and then of course I've got this terrible pain in all the diodes down my left hand side...

Oh man, you should have seen my second build. Would have been way too embarrassing to show. Nicely done!

Gorgeous aesthetic on these. Great job making the knob style/color/scale work with fantastic graphics.

Those are outstanding! Look way better than the original. Great work.
"If you put all the knobs on your amplifier on 10 you can get a much higher reaction-to-effort ratio with an electric guitar than you can with an acoustic."

Yeah, the artwork and knob choice really work for this build!  Looks great.

Looks good to me. Any chance of a demo?

Here is a link to the demo I was making for my friend to hear the difference between the original and the buffalo.  Guitar is an epiphone casino, bridge p90. I can't mic properly my amp so it is direct recording with a tech 21 Blonde in parallel with a tech 21 leeds.  I just add some spring reverb with a strymon Flint.
First you have the clean sound for reference.
Second clip is both pedals with gain at zero and tone in mid position.  First you hear the Formula then the Buffalo then the Buffalo again but with the tone at max.
Third clip is both pedals with gain at max and tone anywhere since it has no effect with the gain maxed.  First the Formula then the buffalo then the buffalo with the Rage switch on.
So you can get a general idea.
Cheers

Well, that just went on my list of pedals to build. Thanks for the demo!
