Hello

I recently build the Bloviator 2014 version.
It sounds realy nice.
But when switching it on the volume drops to zero and it takes about
two seconds with charching noise to get it working.

I have no idea what is going wrong.
Anybody out there with an advice ?

Thanx...

This is a guess, but it sounds like a cap is being drained and it takes 2 seconds to recharge again so the circuit can function.  Check C8 and C9 for proper orientation and no solder bridges. I'm glad it sounds great when it is functioning.

Hello

Thanx for the fast reply.

I 've checked the oriantation of the caps. They were ok.
So i resoldered the board, replaced all caps and replaced the chips.
But it is like before.

I will rip the board off and rebuild it on weekend.

so long.
and thanks.

Hello

I found the error. It was kind of human failure.
I found it was a good idea to switch not only the audio and LED with the footswitch, so i decided to do powerswitching with the 3pdt also.
This was resulting the problem with the charching noise cause of charching time.

I disconnected powerswitching from 3PDT and now its working as expected.

Thanks for your advice, it drove me to the right solution.
