In an attempt to retire my old school label embosser, I bought some small bear inkjet waterslide paper.

Printed image, applied clear coat, and the letters and waveforms began to go away.  I was using Minwax Polyacrylic  water based spray.   Too much clear coat?  I did it twice, same results.

Thanks,
Pat

Canon.  It's one of the ones that can print photos also.  I wasn't sure if I sprayed too much clear.  on the second one I used less clear coat, and it wasn't as bad, b u t still got messed up

Did you leave the ink time to dry??? At least 1 hour... If not thats the reason

I let it dry maybe 15 minutes.  I'll print another and let it dry overnight.  Thanks - I was stumped.

I'd think go real light with the spray, a couple very light/mist/dry coats. Patience...

If my photos are missing again... they're hosted by photobucket... and as of 06/2017 being held hostage... to be continued?

I dont think the clear coat its the problem when its dry i use even a polyurethane coat and the inks stay fine

I printed it about an hour ago, not touching it until tomorrow after work, at a minimum. Clear will going on lightly afterwards, my first try today was pretty thick.

Next task is to finish sanding the 1790, which even with an electric sander and 60 grit paper is taking awhile

Thanks again for all the help
