Boneyard 2 - Mods for more gain ?

I love the way this circuit sounds , but it would be great if it had a touch more gain on tap imo ...
I don't want a massive increase , maybe another 20 % etc etc !!

Is there an easy mod to help increase the available gain ?
The BOM calls for a 100KA crunch pot , would a 250K pot be too much ??

You can go even to 1M with gain pot if you like..
