Have a tranny tester just like it, cost me more than $13.00 through. I had to rig a new battery set-up as the original d cell was soldered to the leads! There wasn't enough current to operate the tester but the battery still put out 1.5V, from 1969! They don't make em like they used to.

nice score man!

I looked up 'transistor tester' in ebay (au) and i see its now a flood with cheap ass Chinese Peak Atlas component tester knock offs.  Matter of time i guess...Cant that country come up with anything original?  Or lasts longer then the time it takes to open the packet :)

I just unsoldered the old batteries and soldered in two new ones. Found the manual on line and that's the factory instructions. Did a Deoxit on the pots and switches and it seems to work like a champ!

If anyone wants any carbon comps, PM me. I haven't really looked over all the values yet (I know there's a bunch of 100Ks). I've got more than I'll ever use.

Oh, and btw, the above photos were taken with my Nokia 1020 phone. I love to brag about my phone camera!
