Good preamp for bass

A pretty extensive bass preamp. I'm about to get boards fab'd that include the input, tone controls, HPF, comp and drive sections as well as balanced outputs and a power board. Not sure how long you want to wait, but I'll have a few extra that I'm going to try to get rid of.

Alembic f2b with tube, or the fet version, which is not the same since the tube and the transformer are left out the device.

Has anyone tried the chugga pre on bass yet? How's the noise?

I have a real sadowsky pedal and love what it does for my bass. Full disclosure: I work for sadowsky but have only recently started using the pre pedal.
