I might pickup an MT-2 for cheap and wanted to do some mods. Which do you prefer?

the best mod I ever did to improve the sound of an MT2 was selling the pedal to someone else  ;)

Did you make something with your MT-2?
I wanna try the Diezel Mod.

Got a laugh out of that one.

How loud is too loud?  What?

Removing C25 & C35, like it shows in this PDF are the first things I would do.  It bypasses the gyrators boosting those " nasal mids"

Here are the mods from the Wampler book

In the pdf document linked R25 is circled. Why?
No clues about the changing? I seen somebody change it, from 470k at 350k.

There's a switch mod that cuts off the pre eq that I like. I can throw up some pics tomorrow.

Completed the Diezel Mod, included the C36 mod -> 100nF. ;)
The best heavy distortion I ever had!
With my Crate, before the mods, was not so good, rather ugly, harsh, thin... especially with my Stratocaster, especially with the stock bridge pickup. Now it has a JB Jr.
After the mod it sounds great, and more than great with my Ibanez SZ520FM stock.

I have to say, my stock MT-2 some years ago sounds fine in front of a kind of Marshall 100w mono-channel tube amp, t does not even look like a metal zone, or that  one I knew. Now it sounds fine with my solid state amp, too. :D

And in front of a tube amp it will sound even better, after this mod? :o
