Hi Guys!

Been away for a while... i will share on build reports some jobs :)

I am building a mudbunny for a bass player and i want to add a mid pot or a switch offering more control over the mids.

I read in some post that some previous versions of mudbunny ad the mid pot... feature that on the newest version is omitted.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Lubdar

wire a pot (or daughterboard) to the corresponding resistor or capacitor for which you are wanting to affect for the mids.

i was hoping for something more specific :)

Heh sorry about that, I didn't know how specific  :) :) :)
http://www.muzique.com/lab/tone3.htm
or
http://www.bigmuffpage.com/Big_Muff_Pi_versions_schematics_part4.html
This page has a lot of variations on the big muff tone stack mids control.
Depending on which option you choose, you'll just need to find the corresponding component and switch them out.

If you go with the AMZ presence control, you'll need to use the following values:
C10: 15nF
C11: 1500pF
R19:470K
TONE Potentiometer: A250k
and for R18: have wire going from the "left pad" (the one closest to the inside of the PCB) wired in series with a 3.3k resistor to leg 3 of a 25k pot, and connect both the wiper and leg1 together and to gnd or back to the "right pad" (the one closest to the edge of the PCB) of R18.

A similar approach can be used for the ones off of Kit Rae's site as well.

Hope this helps.

There is also the grind customs ultrastoner pcb which I think would be more suitable project for a bass player. You get the mid pot and alternative diode options right out of the box. But if you are handy, I'm sure you can add that to a mudbunny too.

i swap R18 with a 25kb pot and C10 to 22nf but still testing...
