Big Muff too much source volume not matched

So, I've go this Colorsound Jumbo tonebender that has a huge volume drop if I plug my active bass into it. My bass has a decent amount of output (hot) signal witch makes the Jumbo stuck in terms of volume.
I have added an impedance input control pot already but that is not helping. I am also adding the last gain stage to see if it is possible to recover some of the volume. I'm under the impression this will not work though.
Any one knows how to emend this?

Thanks guys

What are the values of the caps in your signal path? What schematic are you using?

I'm using the GGG Jumbo Tonebender Schematic. Input cap is 200nf but every blocking caps after that are 100nf. Would the blocking caps have an impact on this? It's a volume thing really. My bypass signal has way more volume than the Muff engaged. When I played the same bass in Passive mode or active but with a less Hot signal, this didn't happen.

What transistors are you using? Also, can we get a pic to look at for any issues?
