Finished my first attempt with a fuzzdog's PCB.  And it worked like a breeze.
The switch is for choosing one or two octave below and there is an added boost for getting more volume than the original.

I built it stock except for the IC i put a TL072 instead of the 5558, a lite bit less noisy but still plenty of fuzz and octave.  It's a great sounding pedal if you're into messy stuff.

Very cool

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

I like the idea of naming it after a Sonic Youth song. Looks great, too!

Cool build, Always wanted to build one of these.

love it!! Nice to see those enclosures, not so frequent in DIY pedals.

Yes.  At least, during the 90's both Thurston and Lee had a blue blox on their pedal board.  I don't know exactly when they were using them but when you hit a chord with this pedal  plus another dirt pedal on, it's just NOISE.

Bret608

They sure did! I saw Thurston and Nels Cline do a small noise set together in about 1997 in a small club in New York. All Thurston had was a Turbo Rat and a Blue Box!

Very nice looking pedal!  I like the comic-book font on the controls.
Is that a smallbear enclosure?

Thanks.

The enclosure is from banzaimusic.com
Nice but it was pre-drilled and the holes for the input and ouput jack were too close from the top of the box and one of the jack socket cannot fit completely horizontally. It is cool looking anyway.
