In Torrance, I am....:P

I was born in Torrance in 1963. Lived mostly in Fountain Valley and hung out in Huntington Beach. Moved to Nashville in 1980 and haven't looked back. Been visiting my 97 year old Grandma while here too. Been digging the weather since it is 90 and humid back home right now.

Planets Collide by Crowbar is heavy as hell, no real surprise. (Don't bother looking for live versions on Youtube, they've all had the bass neutered.)

What is surprising is how crushingly heavy Odd Fellows Rest is, from the same album (Odd Fellows Rest), despite being slow and really not much distortion at all.

I grew up in Venice, moved to Huntington Beach, went to Fountain Valley High, moved to England for 12 years and now back in Lake Forest California. Cali baby!

I've been listening to the whole Dying Fetus discography a lot lately...

It's brutal metal....but this clip makes it friendly! hahahaha

And as a bonus, Pickdropper is in the clip ;)

That is some of my better work.

Still waiting for my royalty checks, however.....   ;D

I was around at my local luthier to get the LP checked out (tuning heads needed work, other than the intonation on 2 strings was allgood), and he showed me this video.

At one point, David says, "Watch his right hand here."

I reply, "I can't! The camera can't keep up!"

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

Hell of an album to go out on, that's for sure. High Hopes is one of my favourite PF songs.

My favorite Pink Floyd album too. High Hopes' intro still makes me thrill.

I have been enjoying Soft Kills new album. Reminds me of the stuff I used to play. Great memories of band practice 20 years ago...
