Hi,
I´m building a retrograde at the moment. I recieved a 42TM011, which was also told me to be used in the octavia, as well, as the 42TM022. The 011 has 1,5k primary and 500ohms secondary, the 022 has 600ohms secondary. Does it make a huge difference? ???

well, does it makes a difference at all?

just wondering....

aaargh, something went completely wrong with my parts...  >:(

I ordered 2N5087 and MPSA18 trannies, instead of the 2N4401.

Can I sub the 2N4401 with 2N2222a? or any others NPNs, that´ll work?
any other combination recommended?

I think 2n3904 is a drop in replacement for 2n4401 if you have any.  2n2222 should also be fine just make sure the pins are the same.

I just bought some BC337, which seems to be the "european" Versions of the 2N4401 (according to a comparity list - "Heninger-List"). Only difference is the pin orientation, which is turned 180°. I´ll give it a try...

thx for your help, Haberdasher
