Hi to all!

I built some times ago a 3205 version of the dirtbag. I ordered some days ago two xvive mn 3005 to give them a try.
I built a road rage (perfboard according to road rage schematic).
I give +- 18V and +-15v out of the 18/15 volt hole so I think it's fine.
When I connect it to my dirtbag pcb the voltage drop to 8.6V and it's strange. I measured it in + hole of dirtbag pcb and on the cathode side of D4... 8.6.
I also tested the output of the regulator. When the pcb isn't connected I get +-15v. When It's connected there's a voltage drop.

I use l 7815cv as regulator and an LT1054 as charge pump.

Can someone help me?

Thanks

alanp

Did you adjust the 3005/3205 jumpers on the PCB?

Yes of course.
I also removed the 8.2v zener etc..
Any ideas?

Any ideas?

Solder bridges present or soldering cleanup are always first things to look at.
Next thing:
Remove all ICs. Load in one IC at a time and recheck to see if you maintain 15v. Leave the clock and MN3005 for last. You want to use process of elimination to zero in on what it pulling too much current.

Thanks so much for the help.

I removed al the Ics.. correct voltage.
I started adding one at time and right voltage..
Tried pedal and it works.. after some tests voltage drop again.
I replaced all the ic except the two 3005.
The pedal works fine.. probabily a faulty ic.
I'll make some tests and i'll update situation

Here I am, as I said all is caused by a faulty IC.
Changed it and all solved.

Thanks to all for the help. ;)
