Sounds rad. Most plate ideas I've seen connect the plate to the frame via bolts so you can increase tension across the plate for a better resonance.

just select the hyperlink icon and substitute url by youtube. Sometimes I also have to remove the s from https, not sure why.

I saw this video yesterday, sounds really good, but it is a huge build. Any idea if it works rescaled to a smaller size? Maybe using a flexible board or even aluminium?

That already is a downscaled version of a proper plate reverb. And that is also obvious through his sound samples. I'm not trying to take away from his ingenuity, I think it's a great project. But making it even smaller is definitely not gonna help the sound.
