Water Soluble solder in action

Finally gave this a try. I picked a white solder mask to test out and purposely grunged it up. Shows before and after with about 15 seconds of warm water and a soft toothbrush. Case closed - my new solder  :) I have some distilled water so I might try that out as well next time.

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

I was worried for a second. Water soluble solder sounds like a problem, water soluble flux though..

Hadn't seen this stuff, thanks for the heads up! When my roll runs up I'll have to vibe it a go.

Make sure you clean it really well.  Water soluble solder is corrosive and will eat your boards if not completely cleaned.  It sounds non-intuitive but I saw a batch of boards get destroyed by it.

If you haven't already bought it, I would recommend not using it, actually.
