Gibson Square pots?
« on: February 25, 2020, 05:02:57 PM »
Anybody have any idea what these pots are?

The article says they are in a 2019 SG Standard Tribute

I believe Gibson sources its pots from CTS (they have their own 'proprietary' taper rather than using the standard audio/log) so probably where I'd start looking.

yep, I looked at the CTS site and they have a 250 series that looks similar but not quite the same. Mouser and Digikey have a 282 series that may be similar but only come in 5k and are like $13 each. The 282 series doesn't show up on the CTS website. The ones in the pic look like it has 440 on it but I don't see any reference to those anywhere. The regular Gibson pots are the 450 series.

I'm just curious if anyone is  familiar with these or if the one in the image might be a prototype type deal?
