Very nice catch, I'm not sure I'd ever have considered an open resistor.

Don't remember the brand - but I know I got it from Mouser. When I do VFE builds I get all my parts from Mouser and SmallBear.

Wow! Incredible commitment and catch. I don't think I'd have thought to even consider that either. Glad you got it sorted! It's a great circuit.
