I've noticed that on a lot of vero schematics and the Madbean PDFs I've read, that often times the type of pot isn't specified. In general, is audio or linear taper the standard?
Thanks

Hey man... often the type is indicated, as a letter after the Resistance value... ie A, B or C

A = logarithmic (log or audio) taper
B = Linear taper
C = reverse log

So a 100KB pot is a 100K Linear taper.  5KA is a 5K, log taper etc.

If you have a questions about a particular project's pot requirements where its not otherwise made clear, feel free to shoot a specific question in the tech help section  :)

I don't know if it will help, but there is an illustration of the different pot tapers HERE
