Brian, if you do anything with those... I'd suggest a project name of 'Small Bramble', in reference to Bob Moog's company 'Big Briar' (founded after he left Moog Music, but before he managed to get the rights to his name back.)

Love it!

I have a MF102, it is a great Ring Mod but a better tremolo. Of the dozens of tremolos I have tried it is easily the best. It sounds organic, rich and full. I think it's beyond my layout skills (and my eagle license) but I hope someone makes boards for these.

I have a couple of these - they are ridiculous.  You can plug them into each other and just play with oscillations. The only downside is they are really big.  I think moog has killed that entire product line in the last year or two
I thought this would save me money.

If anyone is crazy enough to make diy boards of that 104 delay, I am crazy enough to buy it and build it asap!

I've got zero interest in trying to clone the 104m but I would like to lift some ideas from it for a new delay design. But seriously, look at it:

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the guy that designed looked back and didn't want to do it again either.

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

The schematic has instructions for a spillover mod and changes for the different versions but I dont see a reference to the "m" version. The picture it has are of the thru hole version. In the last picture you can also see the bbd daughter board that both the Z and SD versions have underneath the main board. I think the original 104 version (with no letter ) just had the two 3005 chips. The Z and SD were a "long and longer" version reissued at the same time and used 3008s and the daughterboard

I think a lot of what you are seeing in the smd "m" version is a later addition for the midi, tap tempo and other functionality

It's still pretty hairy but this is the "Z" version:

Btw, My vote would be for the ring mod, but I would definitely build the delay too

Having everything controllable with an expression pedal is great.  Some of these have so much circuitry they're literally heavy
I thought this would save me money.
