I'm working on my Total Recall project. And now I run into the problem that the input jack gets stuck against LM7906. This is of course not the intention.
I can filing the holes for the jacks up a bit, so that I can slide the jacks up a bit. Or I have to extend the LM7906 with wires and move it to another position. Or eventually get a different housing. But it would be nice if it fits in here. I have a BB casing. Are there others who have had this problem?

You can either get a taller enclosure which I recommend, or you can fill them and redrill. If you redrill I recommend using low profile lumberg jacks and put them as high as you can..you can file Dow the lip of the lid around the jacks so it will close and screw down.

I managed to file the hole bigger. This allowed me to position the jack higher. Now it should fit just right. I'm still waiting for a few parts and then I can solder the potentiometers. Then I can fit and measure exactly.

It really does need the "Tall" version of the 1590BB for clearance. I think a few people have managed it in the 125BB (which is 1590BB with 125 height) but I never attempted that).

If you still have an issue one thing you can do is remove the regulator and solder it to the bottom of the board. Not sure if you'll get enough clearance for the Feedback pot but it's worth attempting to save the hassle of a ruined enclosure.

Or take your stemmed and open the hole up a bit. Shouldn't take much. Don't ask me how I know. I used a BBT after failing with a bb. The 1590bb is now hosing my test rig. It's really airy with all the holes and such.
