Who knew 38 kHz was good for your body?

Seriously, this is not spam, just stick with me here... I just read a curious article in New Scientist magazine that reported a study on low frequency ultrasound (LFU), and how it can rejuvenate aged body cells, making mice act younger after a few treatments.  However, the study authors were cagey about the exact frequency of ultrasound they were using, only telling New Scientist it was "below 100 kHz."  Even that much was not revealed in the study's (not-yet-peer-reviewed) paper: https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2022.12.08.519320v1.full

After a little more Google-fu, I came across an equine vet's blurb on how they have patented the use of 38 kHz ultrasound for treating deep tissue injuries in horses.  They said the effective LFU range was 38 kHz to 50 kHz, which is certainly below 100 kHz, and they settled on 38 kHz +/- 2 khZ.  https://eqveterinary.com/ultrasound-therapy-for-horses-2/low-frequency-ultrasound-therapy-2#:

I'm betting the cell rejuvenation study guys are banking on patenting their LFU frequency and power levels for cell rejuvenation, even if it turns out to be 38 kHz.  Coming soon to a late-night-TV commercial near you: defeat ageing with ultrasound!  Maybe we should remove those low-pass filters from our pedals, and enjoy the health benefits for free...
