She's finally together boys, but she's passing a very weak signal.. any ideas where to start? I checked with multiple IC's (including verified legit new) so I don't think it is that

Voltages, clear closeup pics or front and back and a schematic. Reflow all your solder joints, check for bridges and reflow all your solder joints.

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

reflowed and checked values. I did notice on zombiesnore's build doc it calls for a 47n output filter cap while on the runoffgroove site it calls for a 470pf cap. I am using a jrc4558 op amp. I am going to breadboard this circuit and see if I get the same result

If there's a difference between my doc and runoffgroove's schematic then the mystake is on my side of course.
I'm not at home this week so I don't have access to my files for checking any mistake...

when I get time I'm gonna try and breadboard the parts and see if it works as intended.

Hi !
As I don't have access to my kicad files, I've downloaded my own pdf...
1) Why didn't I put my schematic on the pdf ? Why ? :-/
2) On my B.O.M. the output cap, parallel to the volume pot, is C7 and call for 330p to 680p (Cx on runoffgroove's schematic). So no mistake here. 470p is a good start.
3) Can you post photos of your build, maybe it's a simple wiring issue ?

zombiesonore

Footswitch wiring scheme is the same as the one found here https://www.madbeanpedals.com/projects/_folders/DistBoostOD/pdf/Deadringer2022.pdf (left switch of course.)
For the jacks, pads are left: GND, right: signal, components side.

movinginslomo

yes I used madbean switch wiring. I'll try and get some pics when I have some time

movinginslomo

life gets in the way. Pics or it didn't happen?

Here's my schematic attached.
Main difference is that I put a 1N5817 diode instead of a 100 Ohm resistance.
Added a 100n capacitor for IC power filtering.

On your pictures I didn't see any wiring mistake so maybe just reflow everything and check for bridges ?

movinginslomo

ah thanks I'll breadboard at some point
