hi all, C15 calls for a 5nF cap... And that's the ONLY piece I'm missing. Can I use 4.7nF or 6.8nF?? I have some of these in my tool box.

sorry forgot this: for C5 it calls for a 20pF and all I had was a 22pF silver mica. That will work I'm guessing? Thanks in advance!

Yes. I think up to about 47pf it will be fine.

:/ that confused me. Isn't 47pF kinda far away from 5n. I tried 4.7n but havnt had a chance to try it.

Remember that caps have a tolerance. So the 4n7 aka 4700pf with a %10 tolerance can actually be between 5170pf (5n17) and 4230pf (4n23). This will allow you to not sweat the small stuff I hope. I still order and put in the "prescibed" value though hahahaha.

again, your 20pf cap could be anywhere between 18-22pf. So I would go ahead and use it for C5.

I was responding to this question. In this case, up to about 47pF will be fine.

In the other case, it's all about percentages. 4.7nF is just 6% off of 5nF. I think that's within the tolerances of most caps, which are 10%.
