Cool image. I like the total disdain for 'naming' the pedal. Naming the functions in really small print is enough, and it looks mighty cool. Is the graphic from a cartoon you're a fan of?

Also, I hope your knobs are the 1/2" variety.

That is rad, man.  Nicely done.  I'm going to have to give those water slide decals a try.

My son likes the cartoon Invader Zim. Zim is the one on the pedal.

can you explain your bias process for the trim pots? I have tried a few different ways and I still can't get a good sound out.

Chris McCullough

Whats it doing? I followed the destructions and then tweaked by ear.

oscillating like crazy, I either get completely clean sound or terrible oscillating crappy tone distorted sound. I tried 4.5v biasing and then adjusting from there, 1v biasing adjusting from there, pretty much every possible option and I can't get a good sound.

Chris McCullough

Make sure you have good solder joints. Make sure you don't any caps or resistors mixed up on the board. It is easy to get mixed up while putting this one together.

Did you sub any different values for your pots, mike?

eniacmike

no subs on the entire build.
I used the b5k potentiometer with a 5k1 resistor across lugs 3 and 1 for the mid control as it says in the instructions.

eniacmike

I did just find 1n4001 instead of 1n4004 maybe that is my problem?
