Colorsound Inductorless Wah Project

I've been working on the colorsound wah- inductorless version from a vero posted over at tagboard fx.  He took the schematic from beavisaudio and I believe it is now correct to that schematic with some added filtering.  I actually helped find differences between the two today, but after it continued to not work I found another layout with some differences that I think I got right...

Has anyone built this?  what schematic or layout did you use?  Did it turn out well?  I know it's a different sounding wah, and I've heard a bunch of demos, but its definitely not right.

I changed the 33k resistor in series with the wah pot to 470ohm (differing from the tagboard fx layout)

I originally began this post before I chnaged that resistor and it was really not working well.  Now I'm finally getting a good amount of change from heel to toe (though toe up is treble and toe down is bass- ive got it in a standard wah enclosure)  But the sweep is really slow to a point then it all of a sudden sweeps really fast in the middle at a point, then it continues to barely slowly sweep- if ya get what i'm saying.

As I think about the taper of the pot- Which I'm not sure do standard modern crybaby's come with audio or linear tapers?  It kinda seems like it's got too sharp of an audio taper and it needs more of a linear taper or even could use an anti log possibly.

I've tried switching the lugs around on the sweep pot, but that doesnt change the treble toe up bass toe down thing... maybe it's too late and i screwed that up.

To level out an audio pot I can put a resistor across some lugs right?  Not sure what value I'd use or what lugs though.  Or if that's the problem.  Sorry if this is the wrong area, or even the wrong forum to post this in, but I've always had amazing help here.  As always feel free to point me in the right direction rather than spelling it out!

pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee  this is such a unique sounding, cheap parts, wah project!

can anyone just tell me if the crybaby comes with a log taper pot?
and/or if the colorsound inductorless works better with a linear pot

This thread is old, but information is gold.

I build one of those, in a 1590a, it's very nice.
I first tried a cry baby with a audio transformer, but it lacks the wah wah part...and a good inductor is expensive here.

So here it is:
I used the lid to move the shutter, and made some egyptian inspired etches.
hope you like it, it works with the led/ldr stuff, when I learn how to use it I post a video about it,
it's to hard to control yet.

That mini wah is quite cool.

I actually made a replica of the Colorsound wah pedal shell out of wood and aluminum parts so I could see how this inductorless circuit works in its native environment. I love it, been using it every day since I built it.
