Any issue using a carbon film vs metal film in the cupcake? I see comments about noise with carbon resistors, but I really don't want to place an order other than smallbear and they don't have metal film in 4m7.

One won't make much of a difference, and unless you're cranking an orange squeezer with no compression, you'd never notice it even in an a/b. Most of the benefits of metal film are tolerance (not much of an issue since that's the pulldown resistor) and some amount of noise reduction in high gain circuits.

I think you could even leave that resistor out if you're running it first in your chain and always on. It might raise the input impedance a little, how much I'm not certain. That's only really an issue if your gear is super bright. You might even prefer it.

Thanks for the feedback. I am putting it in a 2-in-1 with a green bean - I think I will leave it in.
