Hey guys, I've mentioned my friends' band before...they're a prog power trio that idolizes Rush, The Mars Volta, Earth and other bands. After a lot of hard work self-engineering it, they just released their first album for FREE at http://titanrock.bandcamp.com/

Some standout tracks (read: guitar heavy) are Broken Hands, The Brothers Karamazov, Answer, Titan, and Create
The guitarist uses a G&L strat through a Twin and some model of Blackstar. Likes the Plexitone live  ;)

This is my friend's band - Dark Empire, also into the prog thing, but with a metal edge - Matt Moliti, the guitarist bought a GGG screamer from me years ago and uses it to this day (expensive mod and violet LED). I helped engineer the drums (and entertained the artists) on this record and my buddy Jeremy Krull mixed it - It was mastered at Masterdisk by Scott Hull.

Enjoy responsibly - It will make you drive really fast!

here's their Facebook page:

Or sample the tracks at iTunes...

cool! The song MIDU has a metal edge to it and also features a member of another friends' band, As Oceans. Both Titan and As Ocean's (soon-to-be-released) albums were mastered by Jamie King.

No kidding, I went to college with Jeremy. I graduated a year or two before he did. Glad to hear he's working!
