Hello,
Just refinished my Dynacord echocord mini, not really a pedal but this is my go to delay.
I sounds amazing. Got it really cheap a couple of months ago (€50,- please don't hit me)
And the heads looked fine. The was good echo straight away, but it needed some work.
I have a good place here in the netherlands who has tape loops for this device.

Here's what I did with it to make it work:
1. Cleaned the heads with some polishing paste.
2. Cleaned the rubber wheels.
3. Replaced al the Elco's in the echo.
4. Made a new back plate, the original was from cardboard and looked really dull.
5. Mad the front red  ;D

And now for some pictures:

Wow good on ya! I would be way too intimidated to take on a project like that. Looks great !!

I've been tempted to buy an old tape unit so many times but aleays get cold feet. what do you use for tape?
tried lifting weights once....they were too heavy!

Thanks for the kind words.
I'am starting to build a tape echo from scratch later this year, with part of old tape recorders.

The tape i use is Ampex tape, got it from a seller in the Netherlands.
He made the loops for me 10 for 15 euro's.
