Howzit guys,

Not gonna have a chance to wire this one up for a couple of days so thought I'd post it.
Really proud of this one :D

It's a Big Muff with:
Pre-boost (LPB1)
Baxandall Tone stack (ditched the recovery gainstage on the muff)
Tone Bypass
Diode Switch for 2nd gainstage
Focus: input capacitor blend

Blend control: all credit to Mr JMK for this bit!!!
It's a nifty little op amp circuit and used it before.
Big thanks for sharing it!!!

Made to be VERY Bass friendly.
My Bass player buddy with be stoked with this one.

Also, decided to shake things up and do the knobs at an incline. Because? Why not :)

Here's the original graphic, but my execution didn't turn out well.
So... To the sandpaper!!

Here's the schematic - no values because still haven't finalized the values.
Especially on bass, need to work things out properly.
ie if a bass version is too muddly on guitar or if a guitar version lacks low end for bass.
I did add power supply filtering, not shown though.

Very nice. You really think through every process of your builds ... the pattern on the PCB being just one good example.

That's a well planned pedal for sure! Great execution, I really like the whole theme behind your build. Well done.

This build is sweet! One of my favourite of yours, how did you get the pattern on the mica board? Is it some kind of sticky paper, or did you buy it that way? Either way I need that in my life! Makes the etched board look really good.. Shame few people will ever see it!!

The PCB is just sticky paper and printed with a laser printer.
Ended up with a long roll of it somehow so seemed like a good use for it.
Really happy how it turned out!
I always get inspired when I see John Lyons beautiful PCB boards so this is a step in the right direction at least :)
Don't know why they make PCB board material the colour of vomit...

Did you drill through it when you drilled the board? Or drill the board first then stick it on then poke it through? Either way in an see myself ruining it during the process haha

I just stuck it on then drilled it.
This paper I used is quite strong, not sure what kind it is but like a thick sticker thingy.
If you drilled it before or after it should be fine.
Poking holes after just seemed like more work :)

Because no one looks at it besides tech nuts like us.

Some Dumble amp builds use some kind of wood for eyelet board material.

Some of the guys on the Metroamp forum hunt down NOS Paxolin material (and NOS turrets if they can get 'em) for their boards.

Since everyone else already talked about how great this looks, I'm going to chime in and say that it took me a few seconds of staring at the first picture to realize that the name of the pedal isn't "Treble Bass T.B. Sex Focus".

I can't be the only one.

Nice work Matt :)

Most impressive sir. Dare I ask what happens when you flick the sex toggle?!

I did wonder was 'T.B SEX FOCUS' was!

Oh the Sex is the diode switch. Because? Why not :)

If there's any interest, I would be keen to do a little run of fabbed boards.
A single sided layout is possible but there are some very awkward jumpers not obvious in the pics so double sided would be far better.
And.. makes it easier for board mounted switches and of course any excuse to get some pretty fabbed boards :D

This is subject to Jacob giving permission to use his blend circuit of course!

The value of this particular muff is:
1. Lots of knobs and switches:D
I really like lots of tweakable parameters because not everyone has a different "sweet spot".
2. All board-mounted = no off-board wiring.
Thank the Pope!
3. Bass-friendliness
Blend control for the win!
4. Extensive tone shaping
Baxandall Treble & Bass,  Tone Bypass and Input blend.

So ya, just putting feelers out as to if anyone is keen to build one.
Just PM me so I can get an indication of interest.

Will be really happy if I can give something back to the community!
Learned so much from this forum and really genuine people here as well :)
