Nice, that looks great !

I'm actually learning Eagle right now, and I'm re-drawing the Maestro schematic into a single wide panel for my MU modular synth. Will post some updates as that moves along. I want to build a pedal version of it as well, possibly with an added LFO circuit, for a standalone unit.

Hi all, so I just finished populating my Dandy Horse build from Lectric fx, and I am unable to get the correct voltages.

My -15V test point is reading around -7.5v, and TP1 is measuring at around -3.8v - half of what they should be.

As I was examining my board, I noticed that I had accidentally loaded a 1n4001 instead of a 1n4002. Swapped that out, with no change. I've changed the LT1054 for another one I had on hand, no change. I purchased these LT1054's on Digikey and used one in my Echo 600 build which is working great with no issues.

I'll try and get some pictures of the front and back of the PCB's next time I am in my workshop, but all components are oriented correctly. Besides the 1n4001, I cannot find any more mistakes or incorrect values.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thank you!

I was wondering if anyone knew what size the screws are on the top panel of a vintage Mu-tron Bi-phase? The ones on mine are pretty chewed up and one is missing so I was looking to replace them, but having a hard time finding the right size and thread.

Hey I'm building one of these right now, are you still having trouble figuring out the wiring scheme?

General Questions / Dead End Lola Phase Volume Drop
October 09, 2022, 03:57:01 PM
Hey there guys, I was wondering if anyone here has also built the Dead End Lola Phase and if anyone else is experiencing a volume drop. I built this one last year and it sounds fantastic, but it has a significant volume drop, especially when the Depth is higher up and when both Phasors are engaged. I've been through the alignment a few times, and it sounds very excellent in the studio, but the volume drop has made it a little difficult to use live without it being in a loop.

Is this just the nature of the Bi-phase circuit? I know phase shifters can have a volume drop. Am I missing something in the alignment?

I manage to solve led ticking. I changed 1k resistor that goes to led with 82k in the end and it works fine :) (I am refering to harbinger one rate led circuit)

Where exactly is the end of that resistor coming off the LED hooked up to in the circuit? Trying to work this into my build and it's a little tough to see exactly in the pics. I also tried the higher speed mods, and they work great, but now the drag switch doesn't seem to be doing it's thing? It maybe could just be too subtle for me to hear anymore at the higher speeds.

Hey, just wanted to thank you for this post. I am building one of these right now and ran into the exact same problem, but with this re-wire it works great!

Just bear in mind that mine os the prototype, there were a few changes to the headers om the final design

Thank you so much !!! I got mine working shortly after I posted here, ended up being a power connector wired backwards...cue giant forehead slap...

Thank you guys for putting together these projects, this one sounds absolutely amazing, it's totally the star of my pedalboard now. I'm just finishing up with the Lola Phase right now which also sounds great. I'll post it here when I'm finished with it. Just in the final stages of the graphics for it right now.

Thanks for the help y'all! I did some further probing and in the end all of the caps around the resistor were bad. Replaced them all and bumped up the resistor to 1W for good measure and it's back in action !

Hey y'all ! So I'm nearing completion on my Bi-Phase Clone and I have a resistor that keeps burning out on me. It's resistor R11 on the main board, 12R 1/4 Watt and it's burned out twice now on me...It's getting the correct voltage it should off of the jumper and the other 12R resistor on the other side (R12) is working just fine. Any one run into this one ? On the upside the effect is working great and sounds absolutely fab (when there isn't smoke coming out of it !). Powering it with a 16VAC power adaptor on a surge protector. Any help is appreciated!

Putting the finishing touches to the prototype build for our updated Ludwig Phase II design.  I dislike offboard wiring bad enough to drive me to redesign the pcbs with headers for the cross board connections, a few cut outs allow access to the trimmers on the lower boards.  Just waiting for a psu to arrive before i can fire it up.

Hey, i was just wondering if you had any photos of the completed control board for this build? Troubleshooting my build currently and a photo of the control board would help immensely.
